Myself and two friends recently returned from Spain to Leeds Bradford airport. We were all stopped by customs and all had cigarettes and tobacco for our own use seized. We have all challenged the seizure and restoration and all received letters advising us that the border force will start condemnation proceedings in the magistrates court and our goods will not be returned on the restoration. We all signed the officer's notebooks as we were not given an option. Do I need to request the SAR as several of the facts on their response are incorrect. What are the chances of winning the case? I have spoken to a solicitor regading the fees if we loose our case and he states the amount they quote is very unlikely. Can anyone help and advise me please.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
